Routines
Automate recurring visibility and content work so it happens on schedule without you having to remember to do it.
Routines let you automate work that would otherwise require you to remember to log in and do it manually on a schedule. Instead of relying on memory, you set a routine up once and Amplefound handles the recurring part.
What Routines automate
There are four ready-made Routines, plus your own:
- Review direction — refreshes what the platform knows about your brand from Search Console, AI visibility and your site scan, then asks the Agent to reassess where the strategy should go and save the moves worth taking.
- Build publishing plan — keeps the period ahead covered: it plans and schedules articles for the days that have none, and does nothing when the calendar is already full.
- Refresh publishing plan — replaces the scheduled articles nothing has started yet with a fresh plan built on today's evidence. Anything already outlined, written or published is never touched.
- Measure results — turns the latest Search Console, AI visibility and site scan evidence into insights, without calling any paid service.
- A Routine of your own — whatever you type is handed to the Agent word for word, and uses one of your daily Agent messages. When today's messages are gone, the run is skipped in silence and tries again next time.
Why this matters
Visibility work compounds — regular, consistent effort produces much better results than sporadic bursts of activity. But it's easy for "regular" content or tracking work to quietly stop happening once the initial excitement of setting up a new tool fades. Routines exist specifically to prevent that: once configured, the work keeps happening even when you're focused on other parts of your business.
Setting up a Routine
- Go to Routines in your dashboard
- Start from one of the four Routines above, or describe your own in the box at the top
- Set how often it runs: every 7, 30 or 90 days, optionally pinned to a weekday, at a time you choose (times are UTC)
- Set the most credits one run may spend — a run stops at the last step that still fits, and the Routine tries again next time
- Save and activate the Routine
Or just ask the Agent
You can also set a Routine up from the chat. Ask the Agent for something like "run a plan refresh every Monday morning" and it fills in the same record the page saves, then shows it to you for approval before anything is stored. It can also change one you already have — the cadence, the time, the instructions, the credit ceiling, or whether it runs at all. Because a Routine acts with nobody watching, the Agent always asks for your yes first, whatever your autonomy level says, and it never runs or deletes a Routine itself.
Autonomy comes first
Routines act without you. If your brand's autonomy is set to Assisted — nothing happens without your click — a Routine cannot be switched on. You can still prepare it; it waits, paused, until you move to Balanced or Autonomous in Control center.
Once active, you can review what a Routine has done from your dashboard, pause it if your priorities shift, or adjust its settings at any time.
A concrete example
A small business might set up a Routine that generates one new Article draft every week, drawing from whichever Keyword currently has the strongest opportunity in Search Ranking. Instead of needing to remember to sit down and plan a new article each week, the draft is simply waiting for review — the business owner just needs to read it over, make any adjustments, and publish.
Keeping Routines aligned
Because Routines run automatically, it's worth checking in on their output periodically — especially after you update your Direction, Topics, or Voice Presets — to make sure what they're producing still matches your current strategy.
