Brand Voice Presets
Define the tone and personality your content should use, once, so every article sounds consistently on-brand.
Voice Presets define how your content should sound — its tone, personality, and formality — so every article Amplefound generates stays consistent with your brand's actual voice, without you having to re-specify it every single time.
What a Preset controls
A Preset combines a few elements into one reusable profile:
- Tone — the emotional character of the writing, such as professional, friendly, conversational, or authoritative
- Personality — the role your content plays for the reader, such as advisor, educator, or motivator
- Formality level — how casual or formal the language should be
- Custom instructions — specific guidance, like preferred terminology or things to avoid
Why this matters
Without a defined voice, AI-generated content can drift — one article reads formally, the next casually, with no consistent thread tying them together. A Preset fixes that: once you've set it up, every article that uses it sounds like it came from the same brand, even if you generate dozens of pieces over time.
Creating your first Preset
If you ran a Website Scan, a Preset is usually generated automatically based on the tone of your existing content. Review it under Voice Presets and adjust anything that doesn't quite match how you want to sound. You can also create additional Presets manually — useful if you write for more than one audience or in more than one style.
When to use multiple Presets
Consider creating more than one Preset if you write for genuinely different contexts — for example, a more formal preset for compliance-related content and a warmer, more conversational preset for lifestyle content. Give each one a clear name so it's obvious which to pick when setting up an Article.
Writing good custom instructions
Custom instructions are where a Preset goes from generic to genuinely yours. Specific, concrete guidance works better than vague direction — for example, "use 'clients' instead of 'customers,' avoid exclamation points, always include a practical next step at the end" gives the AI something clear to follow, where "sound professional" does not.
A concrete example
A children's dentistry practice might set up a Preset with a friendly, reassuring tone and an "educator" personality, with custom instructions to avoid clinical jargon and always address parents directly. Every article generated with that Preset — whether it's about first dental visits or cavity prevention — will consistently sound warm and parent-focused, rather than needing that guidance restated each time.
